I'm anxious to try Penelope Lively and Doris Lessing -- two 'new to me' authors.

iliana, thanks. I'm looking forward to The Fifth Child.

booksplease, it is quite a diverse group of books, huh?

literary feline, I'm going with The Chocolate War so I can stay on track with the Year of Reading Dangerously.

maggie, actually there are mules mentioned in the book. I didn't get the blues, but it's definitely not an uplifting book. :) I'm enjoying it though. I've looked at the blues contest and can't seem to come up with anything -- unfortunately I'm not very creative. I'll keep thinking on it.

ravenous reader, I'm glad to hear you liked Crow Lake so much. I'm really looking forward to that one.

andi, that's funny. I've toyed with the idea of hosting a challenge, but I'm afraid of that very thing. :) It's not like you haven't had a lot to do lately, though. I'm looking forward to reading it. I've heard so much about it. It's on the banned books list yearly, and so I want to read it if for no other reason than that. It's never a good idea to tell me I shouldn't do something.Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00795619401977840939noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7425401134381509448.post-79553483218816592162008-07-20T09:29:00.000-04:002008-07-20T09:29:00.000-04:00I need to dive into The Chocolate War after I fini...I need to dive into The Chocolate War after I finish Quiet, Please.
