I posted a list of the finalists for the 2007 National Book Awards earlier. The winners were announced this week. The website has interviews and a list of the awards going back to 1950.
Actually, I think The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie won that category, but The Invention of Hugo Cabret was a finalist. Unfortunately I haven't read either of these. I can't seem to find the time to read any of the YA lit. I know I need to make the time because there are some really great books in that category.
I'm a librarian in the North Carolina Community College System who loves to read, knit and spend time with her family (not necessarily in that order!).
