Secret Santa Update
O.K. let me begin by apologizing to Literary Feline. I actually thought I had already posted on this. I know, that's pretty scary, huh? Yes, I did receive a lovely, generous gift in the Secret Santa exchange. I know it was sent well over a month ago, but it only arrived in the last week. I feel sure it got lost in the Christmas mail because the package looked a little worse for wear. However, the goodies inside were safe and sound. I received a package of book plates, several bookmarks and a Barnes and Noble gift card! I have ordered several classics that I've been meaning to read -- Great Expectations, Woman in White, and Cranford. There was also a very lovely card that I will save. I don't have my camera with me at work, or I would post some pictures. Again, my apologies to Literary Feline. Thank you for your generous gift. This was a great deal of fun.

Not a Christmas goes by without me hearing of a package that seems to have gone on a little tour around the world before reaching its destination. Something I sent to my boyfriend's family for Christmas two years ago took until February to arrive!
I'm glad the package made it safely, though, and that you enjoyed your gifts :)
Yum! That's a wonderful Santa package. Enjoy!
Lisa, I am so glad you received the gift. No need to apologize at all; I was just worried you would think you were forgotten! Even if the outside packaging was ruffled, I'm glad everything inside was still in good condition. :-)
I have Great Expectations and Woman in White in my TBR collection waiting to be read. I have only read one Charles Dickens book, Oliver Twist, which I loved and I've always meant to read more of his work (I've heard it's even better).
I discovered your blog through the gift exchange, and I have been enjoying your posts. I admit to being a little afraid of posting because I didn't want to give away who I was before hand. Haha
Happy Reading!
Literary Feline, Thanks again for the lovely and generous gift. I also found your blog through the exchange and visit daily. I hate to admit this, but I've never read any Dickens. Isn't that terrible? I'm a librarian for crying out loud. Oh well. Thanks again and have a great weekend!
What wonderful goodies! I'm currently reading Great Expectations and enjoying it a lot. It's been a nice surprise - I was expecting it to be I don't know, slow going I guess but it's really not. Enjoy your books.
That sounds like a delicious gift. Better late than never right? :)
Oh, you have quite a treat in store for you if you haven't read any Dickens yet! :)
My recipient's gift took a long time to arrive, too, but I expected it, since I was sending it way overseas. This was so much fun, though, wasn't it? I really hope Nymeth will host it again next year!
iliana and Dewey, I plan on starting Great Expectations today so I can participate in the discussion as part of the Year of Reading Dangerously Challenge.
I do hope Nymeth will host the Secret Santa Exchange again next year. It was a lot of fun and I found several new book blogs as a result.
